Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life
The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL) is the home for 35 social fraternities and sororities and their governing councils at UConn. The OFSL is located in the Student Union, Room 315. OFSL staff members provide and coordinate resources and services designed to enhance the quality of chapter and council operations as well as the overall fraternal experience. Students are welcome to stop by SU 315 for information, leadership resources, or to make an appointment with staff for specific advisement. Students and advisors can also make an appointment by calling (860) 486-4710. Services available to fully registered fraternities and sororities include:
- Advisement to assist chapter officers in establishing and maintaining efficient organizational operations and quality programming consistent with the four pillars of Greek Life: academic achievement, service and philanthropy, leadership, and brotherhood / sisterhood.
- Access and ability to reserve available University facilities.
- Participation in the Greek Leadership Series seminars, workshops, and retreats specifically designed for new members as well as chapter and council officers.
- Access to the Greek Resource Library with a variety of specific resources geared toward fraternities and sororities.
- Participation in programming initiatives of the All Greek Council, the Interfraternity Council, the Multicultural Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Panhellenic Council.
- Inclusion in publications of the Greek councils and the University.
- Participation in Greek Week, Homecoming, and other University programs.

Todd C. Sullivan
Director
Advising/Oversight: Greek Leadership Cabinet, Fraternal Values Society, Project Arête, Growth Plan, Housing
Todd C. Sullivan became the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at UConn in 2006. Todd earned his BA in Film Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Upon graduation, he traveled for his fraternity, Delta Upsilon, as a leadership consultant for two years. He then advised the Interfraternity Council at Indiana University while completing his MS in Higher Education & Student Affairs. He served as the Assistant Director of Campus Life for Greek Affairs at Florida International University and as the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs at Tufts University. He has served on the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Executive Board, facilitates leadership, diversity, anti-hazing, and recruitment programs for CAMPUSPEAK, Inc., and volunteers in the Hartford area.

Jamel Catoe
Assistant Director

Jamel Catoe is the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life and joined the UConn community in 2011. Jamel earned his BA in Communication from the University at Buffalo and his MS in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Buffalo State College. While pursuing his graduate degree, Jamel interned for Greek Affairs at the University at Buffalo, where he co-advised the Panhellenic Council, and served on the 2006 staff of Northeast Greek Leadership Association’s annual conference. Since then, he has worked with fraternities and sororities on several college campuses. In addition to his work in Greek Life, he has experience in career services, diversity affairs, and student activities. Jamel is a founding member of Theta Delta Sigma Society, Inc. and remains actively involved as a volunteer.

Betty Conklin
Secretary
Budget Manager
Betty Conklin returned to the Greek scene as Secretary starting in the summer of 2006. She has worked in various secretarial capacities in the Student Union Director’s Office, Student Union Operations, Business Office, Student Involvement, Community Outreach, Greek Life, Residential Life, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Health Services, Counseling Services and Career Services. Betty has spent the past nineteen and a half years within the Division of Student Affairs.

Kylie Corcoran
Graduate Assistant
Advising/Oversight: IFC, Panhellenic Recruitment, HuskyTHON, Order of Omega, Philanthropy/Service, Intro to Greek Leadership Course, UIFI
Kylie Corcoran serves as a Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life. Kylie graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. At South Carolina, Kylie held leadership positions with Sorority Council, her chapter of Chi Omega, and Dance Marathon, and was named the 2011 Outstanding Sorority Member. She also had the opportunity to serve as an intern for the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Currently, Kylie is a graduate student in UConn’s Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) Masters program, Class of 2013.

Jessica Emig
Graduate Assistant

Jessica Emig serves as a Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life. Jess graduated in 2010 from Coastal Carolina University with a BS in Psychology. She is a founding member of Alpha Delta Pi, Theta Beta Chapter, and was very involved across Coastal’s campus, earning the 2010 Ron Lackey Service Award as well as the 2010 Living the Ritual Award. Upon graduation, she spent her summer in Hawaii living out her childhood dream of training dolphins and other marine animals at Dolphin Quest, Oahu. Currently, Jess is enrolled in UConn’s Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) Masters program, Class of 2013.

Brittney Yancy
NPHC Advisor
Advising/Oversight: NPHC, National Hazing Prevention Week, Reflections Body Image Program, Alumni, Scholarship
Brittney Yancy serves as the Advisor to the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Brittney graduated from Hampton University in 2003 with a major in History. Following graduation Brittney moved to Connecticut where she joined the University of Connecticut as a graduate student and graduated with her masters in 2006. Currently she is a PhD student in the Department of History and joined the OFSL staff in 2008. Brittney is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
