Greek Of The Month - November 2008

 

Greek of the Month is a peer recognition given to members of the Fraternity & Sorority Community who demonstrate outstanding leadership, service, academic accomplishment and brotherhood/sisterhood. This individual is a person of good moral character who upholds the values of the fraternal community and the University.

Brittany Osbon (Delta Zeta)

“Brittany is an exceptional member of our Greek community. She is a very strong leader within Delta Zeta and displays the Panhellenic spirit proudly. When faced with adversity, she always keeps a positive attitude and exemplifies a true leader. Brittany is the best sister someone could ask for. She is always there for her sisters and truly cares so much for Delta Zeta as well as Greek life as a whole.” - Danielle Hajjar

Brittany’s involvement includes: Delta Zeta philanthropy chair, senior member of bid committee, 2008 senior week chair, 2007 assistant new member educator, alternate Panhellenic delegate, 2007 Lamp editor, and member of Order of Omega.

 

Lisa McCoun (Pi Beta Phi)

She upholds all Pi Phi values which are Integrity, Honor and Respect, Lifelong Commitment, Personal and Intellectual Growth, Philanthropic Service to others, and sincere friendship. Everyone in Pi Phi, Greek Life, and the UConn community knows Lisa McCoun as a friendly girl always with a smile on her face, and most importantly, a leader.” - Karen Abiog

Lisa’s involvement includes: Vice President of Communications for Panhellenic, Order of Omega, Co-President of Pi Sigma Epsilon, Pi Beta Phi Alternate delegate, Member of Rho Lambda, Head of Pi Beta Phi’s policy and standards board, 2007 Homecoming chair.
