Greek of the Month is a peer recognition given to members of the Fraternity & Sorority Community who demonstrate outstanding leadership, service, academic accomplishment and brotherhood/sisterhood. This individual is a person of good moral character who upholds the values of the fraternal community and the University.
February Winner: Amy Nelson (Delta Gamma)

Amy Nelson is a member of Delta Gamma and was a HuskyTHON Representative, a Race for the Cure Representative and Delta Gamma’s Member Educator. She also plays on soccer and flag football intramural teams. “Amy is kind-hearted and a determined young woman. She brings passion and encouragement to the chapter, assuring we all strive for our best,” said her nominator Leslie Lessard of Delta Gamma. |
March Winner: Ellen Morello (Kappa Alpha Theta)

Ellen Morello, a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, is not only a kind and energetic person but also her chapter’s ritualist. Ellen has taken it upon herself to educate the members of her chapter and further their understanding of what it means to be a member of Kappa Alpha Theta such as the meanings of certain symbols and rituals. “Ellen’s amazing personality and her determination to unify her chapter through her love of ritual has set Ellen apart from other members,” said her nominator Jennifer Prior of Kappa Alpha Theta. |
