Greek Of The Month - November 2006

 

Kim Opulski (Delta Zeta)

Kim Opulski is a Senior Human Development and Family Studies major and Sociology Minor. As Recruitment chair of Delta Zeta, she has been a great role model for her sisters and other members of the Greek community. She went out of her way to ensure that a successful rush was planned and as a leader knows when to step back and listen to others. "Kim exemplifies all of the ideals of Delta Zeta, and Greek Life," says her nominator Connie Cabello also of Delta Zeta.
Kim is also the Family Relations Chair of HuskyTHON this year. She is consistently participating in philanthropies and is always serving the UConn community to the best of her ability.

 

Joe Cunningham (Delta Chi )

Joe Cunningham has been a great asset to Delta Chi Fraternity. His most recent accomplishment was the planning of the first successful alumni event for Delta Chi in 26 years. After much planning, 30 undergraduate brothers, 10 new members and 38 alumni attended the UConn vs. Navy football game. Joe has also worked diligently towards the reformation of the Delta Chi Alumni Board of Trustees. "Through his hard work and dedication to the chapter, Joe has shown outstanding qualities in both brotherhood and leadership that are paving the way for brothers of the future," says his nominator Mike Brothwell also of Delta Chi.
Joe is a newly initiated member of the Order of Omega, a member of the Finance Society and takes part in intramural sports such as softball, volleyball, flag football, and basketball.
