Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing council for chapters of eleven inter/national men's fraternities that generally recruit within the first few weeks of each semester. Currently seven are housed on campus in Husky Village, and one chapter owns a facility off campus.

Below is a list of the 11 fraternities that are a part of the IFC and links to more information about each chapter.

Multicultural Greek Council

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing council for all multicultural fraternities and sororities. Each organization has a unique new member orientation process. Currently we have an Asian interest sorority, an Asian interest fraternity, a Latina sorority, and 3 Latino fraternities.

National Pan-Hellenic Greek Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was founded in 1930 and is the governing council for the “Divine Nine” historically African American fraternities and sororities. The UConn NPHC was re-chartered in September 2007. These national organizations perform new member intake at various times of the year. Currently, there are six of the nine (three fraternities and three sororities) registered on campus.

Each organization has a unique recruitment process. If you are interested in any of these organizations, please contact the president of the respective chapter. Information about the chapter and contact information can be found by clicking the links below.
