GAMMA
GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol) grants a voice for the Greek community on the UConn campus, providing interactive programming on alcohol awareness, opportunities for discussions about alcohol with administrators, and helping to build on the strengths of the Greek community in reducing consequences of high risk drinking.
The Mission of GAMMA is to promote the understanding and binding of values within our fraternity and sorority community by:
- Educating our brothers/sisters and ourselves on how to live and lead healthy lifestyles
- Living as an example of a loyal citizen with good, and moral character
- Offering a positive atmosphere with team support
As GAMMA members, we strive to uphold this mission through a sense of appreciation for personal freedom for ourselves and our peers.
The organization operates under the advisement of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life as well as the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Services and is an affiliate of the Bacchus and Gamma network.
