University of Connecticut Hazing Policy

Hazing in any form is prohibited at the University of Connecticut.

Hazing is defined as any action taken or situation created on or off campus, which recklessly or intentionally produces mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule.

Penalties at the University of Connecticut

In cases of individual violators, appropriate disciplinary action may be imposed as outlined in Section VII, Paragraph C and Section IX of the Student Conduct Code. In cases where organizations have authorized such conduct, loss of privileges, temporary suspension of registration, or rescission or termination of registration may be imposed. Such penalties shall be in addition to any penalties pursuant to the penal law which a violator or organization may be subject.
